Introducing Nucleo v4

Time flies! It's been a decade since Nucleo v1's launch, and we're still passionate about creating the ultimate icon home for you.

Running a two-person team means juggling feature development with marketing and bug fixes. It's a balancing act, aiming for long-term gains over short-term sales.

The big leap in v4? Icon syncing on our server for team projects. We're moving away from third-party services like Dropbox, which, honestly, were more complex and less efficient than we liked.

After half a year of intense work, we're thrilled to roll out this game-changing feature in Nucleo v4!

But there's more – both the Mac and Windows applications have undergone a major redesign. We've dissected the UI/UX of top apps to discover what truly makes an application stand out. Our new design reflects these learnings.

And we're introducing Nucleo UI, a library of over 5000 icons, a treasure trove for designers and developers.

Curious for details? Let’s dive in!

Nucleo v4 isn't just an update; it's a complete redesign. We rethought everything – from typography and spacing to buttons, form elements, and the light/dark color themes.

Our design goal? 'Functional minimalism'. We wanted to keep things simple, yet intuitive, adding complexity only where it benefits the user.

Check out this sneak peek of the new app. Better yet, download it and see for yourself!

Feedback matters. We reached out to our team users and learned that sharing icons was a pain point. Our reliance on third-party clouds meant slow and frustrating syncing.

No more! The new Team Collaboration plan introduces hassle-free, fast icon syncing directly on our servers, plus role management.

Simple syncing: Create shared projects, add icons, and they’re instantly available to your team. Plus, projects auto-update with changes from others.

Role management: Now you can assign 'Editor' or 'Read-only' roles to control editing access.

Note: Existing Nucleo teams using cloud services like Dropbox to share projects can upgrade to the Team Collaboration plan by going to the Team page and selecting the team they want to upgrade.

We're just getting started on making team collaboration smoother and more efficient!

Ten years on, and our icon library is still growing. Now, meet Nucleo UI: the start of a new icon system. Over 5000 SVG icons in fill and outline styles, with more to come.

Nucleo UI isn’t just a purchase: It's an investment in continuous, future updates, all accessible via the Nucleo app.

Try a subset of Nucleo UI for free: Download our app with demo icons, or grab the SVG files directly.

We didn't stop at the app. Our branding underwent a total revamp. We collaborated with the talented Evgeniy Artsebasov on a logo that's a fusion of 'Nucleus', 'N', and an icon square.

Our website? Redesigned to echo our app's minimalist elegance. Check out the new look on our home, icons, and app pages.

Post-launch, our focus is on smoothing out any wrinkles and refining based on your input.

Next up? We're eyeing AI integration, a web app, and extending icon syncing beyond teams.

As we step into the next decade, we're excited to reimagine Nucleo's place in the evolving design landscape. Join us on this journey.
